Different Seasons, Different Sacrifices

Different Seasons, Same Shenanigans: Business, Babies & Boundaries

Building a successful business is hard enough. Throw in marriage, motherhood, family responsibilities, and the occasional existential crisis, and suddenly that whole “work-life balance” thing starts sounding like a really funny joke. 😂

In our first-ever LIVE episode of Our Business Shenanigans, Jen and Nicole get personal about what it really takes to build a business while raising a family, and why success looks different depending on the season of life you’re in.

From returning to work just three weeks after having a baby to taking maternity leave while running a growing company, we’re sharing two very different experiences, the sacrifices behind them, and the mom guilt that nobody seems to escape.

We also dive into setting boundaries with employees, protecting family time, building systems that allow you to step away, and recognizing when you’re not lazy, you’re just plain exhausted.

And because it’s us, there’s plenty of inappropriate humor, friendly roasting, and completely unfiltered shenanigans along the way.

The biggest takeaway? There’s no one-size-fits-all formula for balancing business and family. What works in one season might not work in the next, and that’s okay.

You can be ambitious, love your family fiercely, and still admit that sometimes you’re just trying to keep all the plates spinning.

Where strategy meets sarcasm, and entrepreneurship gets real.
